Chengdu’s Location in China
Chengdu is located on the edge of the fertile plains of the Red Basin in China’s Sichuan Province. It is about 2½ hours by air from Beijing and Shanghai.

By Air

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CDIA) is 16km southwest to the center of Chengdu City. The airport is connected with downtown through highway. It also has long-distance buses to major cities within Sichuan Province and buses and taxies services as well. CDIA was approved as “International Port Airport” in 1993 and gained “Visa on arrival” rights in 2000, Since 2013, it implemented 72 hour visa-free transit policy. CDIA has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Covering an area of 500,000 m².

Now, CDIA operates 167 domestic routes and 72 international (regional) routes. The destinations of direct international routes are San Francisco, Melbourne, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, Abu Dhabi, London, Doha, Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Karachi, Kathmandu, Hanoi, Moscow, Mauritius etc. The network covers Europe, North America, East Asia, South Asia, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. If your plane could not reach Chengdu directly, you could also transfer in Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.

By Train

There is high-speed railway connecting Beijing and Chegndu. It takes about 14 hours and costs about 864RMB for second-class seat and 1242RMB for first-class seat.

Moving in the city

When you land at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, you could go to conference venue and hotels by taxi or airport bus.


The direct way to the conference venue and hotels is by taxi.

Airport Bus:

Take the Airport Bus No.4 from Chengdu Airport and get off at the metro station of International Convention and Exhibition Center of New Century City. The conference venue and hotels are within 870 meters from the metro station.

Route: Chengdu Airport-Huayang Bus Station
Chengdu Airport: 8:30-19:30; Huayang Bus Station: 07:30 -18:30
Stop at the airport: Gate No.1 of T1 ; 50 meters away from Gate No.5 of T2
Major Stop: Chengdu Airport、metro station of International Convention and Exhibition Center of New Century City; Huayang Bus Station
It may cost 15 RMB and 1.5 hours from the airport to the metro station of International Convention and Exhibition Center of New Century City
