Plenary lecturer: Xiaojing Zheng

Xiaojing Zheng is a Professor of mechanics at Xidian University, Xi’an, China. She is academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and also serves as vice presidents of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM) and the China Association for Science and Technology. She currently engages in research on the measurement and large-eddy simulation of the large-scale motions (LSMs) and very-large-scale motions (VLSMs) in high Reynolds number wall turbulent flows, and trans-scale simulation of sand dunes evolution process. Professor Zheng has won several important awards in China, including the second prize in National Natural Science Award, the second prize in National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Ho-Leung-Ho-Lee Science and Technology Progress Award.
